How does an engagement begin?
After an initial call the chamber issues a written scope of work stating the tasks, the responsible advocate and the fee basis. Work starts once that is accepted.
How are fees calculated?
A fixed fee for defined transactional work, or an hourly rate for advisory and contentious matters. Court fees and government charges are billed at cost.
Do you advise foreign-owned entities?
Yes, on incorporation, branch and liaison office permissions, BIDA registration and the related regulatory filings.
In what language are documents prepared?
Bangla or English, as the filing or the counterparty requires. Bilingual execution copies can be prepared.
Will you comment on my matter before engagement?
General procedural information, yes. Advice on specific facts requires a signed engagement so that conflicts can be checked and privilege applies.
